ABOUT MARDLE BOOKS

Our mission is to publish stories that talk to everyone and create books that make everyone talk.

MEET THE TEAM

Mel.jpg
Mel Sambells
Publicity Manager

Mel learned about customer service within the busy offices of Dairy Crest and Little Chef, before joining the media giant Reach plc for 16 years. Originally responsible for all PR within their incredible newspaper photographic archives that date back to 1903, she then moved her considerable publicity skills across to support the Mirror Books imprint. After 5 years and numerous Sunday Times bestsellers, she had found her niche in the wonderful world of authors and their unique stories. The 10-year-old Mel who would bike home from the library with the weekly maximum allocation of books, then mardle with her friends about them, would have been flabbergasted to learn that could be an actual job. Her wonderful communication skills and love of a great story means that telling the world about Mardle Books is her perfect role.

When Mel is not immersed in the world of Julia Donaldson with her son, she can be found searching for her cocker spaniel in the Norfolk countryside.
